Today is your introduction to the spiritual heart of Tibet. Visit the grand Potala Palace, once home to the Dalai Lama; its golden roofs and red and white walls are an unforgettable sight. Continue to Jokhang Temple, the most sacred shrine in Tibet, where pilgrims from all corners come to pray. In the evening, walk around Barkhor Street, filled with prayer wheels, local crafts, and cheerful locals.

After breakfast, visit Drepung Monastery, once the largest in Tibet, housing thousands of monks. Its peaceful courtyards and ancient scriptures tell stories of centuries-old Buddhist learning. In the afternoon, visit Sera Monastery, famous for its lively monk debates — a unique way to learn about Buddhist philosophy.

Today, explore Norbulingka Palace, the former summer residence of the Dalai Lama, surrounded by gardens and fountains. You’ll also have free time to discover Lhasa’s local markets, a perfect place to buy prayer flags, yak wool scarves, and Tibetan souvenirs.

Spend your day enjoying Lhasa at your own pace. You may revisit Barkhor Street for last-minute shopping or simply relax at a traditional Tibetan teahouse. Optional visit to local art galleries or traditional Thangka workshops.

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your return flight to Kathmandu. Enjoy the last aerial view of the Himalayan peaks, a perfect ending to your short but memorable journey through the land of peace and spirituality.
