Overview

The Ghorepani Ghandruk Trek is one of the most popular short treks in Nepal, combining mountain views, culture, and nature in just one week. Starting from Pokhara, the trek takes you through rhododendron forests, charming Gurung villages, and scenic ridges. The highlight is a morning hike to Poon Hill (3,210m), where you can watch the sun rise over Annapurna and Dhaulagiri.

Unlike longer and more challenging treks, this journey is moderate and suitable for families, first-time trekkers, and those with limited time. The maximum altitude is under 3,500m, so the risk of altitude sickness is very low. Along the way, you’ll stay in cozy teahouses, enjoy home-cooked meals, and meet friendly locals who share their traditions.

This 7-day trek is the perfect choice if you want a taste of Nepal’s mountains, culture, and lifestyle without committing to a long expedition. It’s short, scenic, and filled with unforgettable memories.
