Overview

This trek is beyond breathtaking. Everest high passes trek is filled with amazing Himalayan views and adventures. It conflates EBC (Everest Base camp), Gokyo Ri, Gokyo Valley and Gokyo Lakes, and kalapatthar as well in one single package trek. This trek also offers you to step into the exclusive and remote Nagpa La valley, Thame’s monastery village and a remote Sherpa village called Marlung. You will trek through the worldwide renowned trekking routes in Everest region when going through the three high passes: Renjo La (5,340m), Cho La (5420m) and Kongma La (5,535m). This is a trek for those who would like to spend abundant time trekking in the Himalaya, are fond of adventures and someone looking for variety within different Everest treks.

Main attractions:

This trek in itself is a treasure. There is so much to see and so much to experience; it’s like a walk towards epiphany. If it is your first time in Everest region, the regular part of the base camp trek which starts from Lukla then to Namche Bazar and eventually to Everestbase camp will be a huge deal for you. However, the main attractions of this daunting trek are:Tsho La, Renjo La and Kongma La (the three passes, all above 5,000m). Also, it is a special feeling to witness life and culture at such high altitudes as you do in the Sherpa village, Nagpa La valley and other Sherpa villages. The view of the mountains, flora and fauna, labyrinthine routes, the amazing tapestry of the night sky only seen from such heights and most of the trek is the part of main attractions.

Best season:

With great altitude comes highly fluctuating weather. The best seasons to embark on the Everest high passes trek are spring(March-May) and autumn (September-November). These seasons help make your trek efficient as well as provide you with stunning clear views.

P.S: if you have any concerns regarding the safety of the trekking routes post the Earthquake that hit Nepal in 2015/4/25, be assured, Everest region was supervised and marked safe to re-open by Government officials.
