Itinerary

Your journey begins as you arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport, where our team welcomes you with warm Nepali hospitality. You are transferred to your hotel in Kathmandu and given time to relax after your flight. Later in the evening, you can take a gentle stroll around the vibrant streets of Thamel, observe the local life, or enjoy a light dinner at a nearby restaurant. This first day is designed to help you settle in and get a taste of the city’s energy while preparing for the cultural journey ahead.

After breakfast, you start exploring Kathmandu’s cultural landmarks. You first visit Pashupatinath Temple, one of the holiest Hindu temples, where you witness rituals along the Bagmati River and learn about the spiritual traditions of the Nepali people. Then you visit Boudhanath, a massive Buddhist stupa surrounded by monasteries, where you can walk around the prayer wheels and observe monks chanting. In the afternoon, you explore Patan Durbar Square, an area rich in traditional architecture and ancient palaces, learning about the history and artistry of the Kathmandu Valley. The day concludes with a quiet evening to reflect on the vibrant cultural experiences of the day.

After breakfast, you leave the busy city behind and drive to a serene rural village outside Kathmandu Valley. The journey itself offers scenic views of terraced fields, rivers, and rolling hills. Upon arrival, your host family greets you warmly, introducing you to the rhythm of village life. You settle into your homestay, observe household routines, and enjoy your first homemade meal prepared by your host family. The evening is spent sharing stories over tea, learning basic etiquette, and beginning your cultural immersion.

Your day starts in the kitchen with your host family, where you learn to prepare traditional Nepali dishes such as dal bhat, vegetable curries, and pickles. Cooking alongside locals gives you hands-on experience of daily village life. After lunch, you participate in a basic language session, learning simple Nepali words and phrases for greetings, counting, and daily conversation. This helps you communicate more confidently with your host family and village residents.

Today begins with a slow walk around the village, exploring terraced fields, small temples, and traditional homes while observing daily activities like farming and animal care. In the afternoon, you join a cultural workshop led by local artisans, where you might try weaving, pottery, bamboo crafting, or other traditional skills. The day is filled with learning, quiet reflection, and meaningful interaction, giving you a real sense of the community’s heritage and lifestyle.

You spend the morning at a local school, meeting children and teachers who are eager to share their world with you. You can join in their classroom activities, help with English practice, play games, or exchange cultural stories and songs. This experience allows you to understand rural education and build a bridge of connection with the young generation, offering both learning and joy on both sides.

This day focuses on hands-on participation in village life. You assist with simple farming tasks such as planting, weeding, harvesting vegetables, or feeding livestock. Later, you enjoy a relaxing nature walk to nearby hills or rivers, taking in the serene environment and observing how the village interacts with its natural surroundings. The pace is slow, reflective, and deeply connected to the land.

If a local festival or family ritual is taking place during your stay, you may have the opportunity to join respectfully. This could include a small puja ceremony, receiving a tika blessing, observing or participating in a community gathering, or enjoying a cultural dance evening. These moments are some of the most authentic ways to experience Nepali culture, giving insight into traditions that have been preserved for generations.

After saying goodbye to your host family, you travel back to Kathmandu. Once there, you have free time to explore markets, buy souvenirs, or relax in a quiet café. In the evening, the group comes together for a farewell dinner where you can reflect on your cultural experiences, share stories, and celebrate the friendships and memories you’ve created over the past days.

On your final day, we ensure a timely transfer to Tribhuvan International Airport for your departure. As you leave Nepal, you carry with you not only memories of beautiful landscapes and ancient culture but also the warmth, stories, and lessons learned from the communities you stayed with. This 10-day cultural exchange leaves a lasting impression, enriching your understanding of Nepal and its people.
